Words that end in “-gry” and more

AskOxford.com asks: “Apart from ‘angry’ and ‘hungry’, what other common English word ends in ‘-gry’?”

The answer may surprise you.

More: There are no words that rhyme with orange, but what’s the other common English word with no rhymes?

The opposite of nocturnal is diurnal, but what do you call animals that come out at twilight? (Okay, that last one is awesome. New to me!)

And, courtesy of Douglas Hofstadter’s Godel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid: what’s the only word in the English language containing the letters ADAC consecutively, in order?

For the answer to this one, you’ll have to read the book. In Google Reader, the “answer,” of sorts, is on Page 62. (And as Achilles says, it’s not “abracadabra.”)
