Some seriously historical journalism

The Onion’s cover was pretty impressive today:  But even more impressive? Open the paper–the WHOLE THING, not including the AV Club, is in this style. I can’t decide if the Burger King (well, the “King of Broil’d Meats”) and the “Jameson’s Miracle Concoction” ads are real, but as far as I can tell, there are no other ads in the paper. This is either a brilliant publicity stunt or a very costly idea…my vote’s for the former. Some of these pieces are even better than the modern Onion! “Owls Deemed Arse-Holes” and “M. Webster’s New ‘Dictionary’ Shall Burden Us With A TYRANNY of Words” are two of my favorites’ but it’s all wonderful.

If you live in a place where you can’t get the Onion, they’ve put the whole thing online. Also, they’re apparently selling copies for $10.
