I am a fan of a new 20% project Google has rolled out: translation bots in Google Chat. Add a specific e-mail address to your buddy list (my bot of choice is [email protected]) and if you send it a message, it will spit back a translation. This is a lot faster than Babelfish and what have you, and you can have a group chat open with multiple translation bots. This is hard to explain, but check the link and look at the screenshot.
This is a fantastic resource for anyone trying to learn a new language. As my interest in Japanese has recently been re-piqued, I think I’m going to be having a lot of chats with en2ja in the future.
Arrigato Domo, Rebecca-san.
Does this outfit do American Sign Language or is it limited to the spoken/written word?
I am always on the outlook for ASL info, so pass it along here if you see any.
Arrigato Domo, Rebecca-san 🙂
I spoke with a Rebecca often today.
Mind grooves get stuck like old records and albums, with the needle getting caught at the same part of a song. So Rebecca it was for me today. I try anew.

Arrigato Dome, Rachel-san. 🙂
No problem, Danny. I don’t know about ASL–it depends, of course, on your area. If you don’t see a group you like, it is free to start one.
No, I don’t work for Meetup… 🙂
